Frozen wild spot prawns are the biggest species of commercial shrimp, the fishing season lasts 6 to 8 weeks. You can find them at Smokey Bay from July to December.
They have a soft and buttery texture, and a sweet and briny flavor. Frozen spot prawns can be coked from 30 seconds to two minutes or eaten raw when thoroughly cleaned and thawed.
They are perfect for summer meals in cocktails, sushi, or the grill.
