Step One: Regulatory Information

Before embarking on a sale or trade we check the regulations for the seafood you order to make sure it is in compliance for export, import and distribution in your region or country.

Step Two: Source Your Seafood

We work with a range of seafood sources in Pacific North America and the Pacific rim.  We quote best price typically FOB Vancouver YVR, Seattle SEA, or Los Angeles LAX and freight cost is added for CNF pricing worldwide.

Step Three: Ship Your Order

Send your seafood to major urban centers worldwide by truck, air, or ocean. We can get you competitive freight rates to ship your seafood order to main distribution hubs in Asia, Europe, and USA. Smokey Bay is a TSA known shipper from LAX, SEA, and YVR international airports.
We also have regular truck service from: Vancouver to San Diego stopping at all cities in between; weekly truck service from Vancouver and Seatlle to Toronto and New York.
For ocean freight we have both frozen ocean containers and LCL ocean freight options for exporters to Asia.

Step Four: Dealing with Customs and Duties

Smokey Bay clears products through customs on your behalf for importation from Canada to USA or USA to Canada. We are a government licensed fish importer with annual permits up to date.

Step Five: Manage Payments and Terms

We work on clearly defined terms to avoid confusion, We receive payment in US Dollars, Canadian Dollars or Euros. Financing options available.
