Team Bio and Background

Eric Ackerson- Sales and Marketing Director
joined Smokey Bay Seafood Group after 15 years of culinary services and food sales. With his first job bussing dishes, Eric knew he had found the industry he would remain in. Dreams of attending culinary school brought him to Johnson and Wales University in Miami Florida, where he enrolled in the Culinary Arts program to study cooking. From there he spent the next several years in hotel and restaurant management and eventually went to work for a large Southeastern USA distributor specializing in seafood. This was the sector that captured Eric’s imagination and refocused him on all things seafood. Upon meeting Patrick Warren at a trade show in Atlanta, Eric and Patrick became friends and eventually conspired to launch Smokey Bay Seafood USA inc., where he remains to this day. Eric lives in Charlotte NC with his wife and two daughters.
